Who we are:

This privacy policy applies to Maverick Data Systems, a Wyoming, USA corporation without a physical presence or headquarters; and its affiliated subsidiaries (collectively, “Maverick Data Systems,” or “we“, “us“, “our“). We operate virtually as a Software as a Service (SaaS) and we partner with law enforcement officers and agencies across the United States.

What we do:

Maverick Data Systems mission is to make writing search warrants quick, efficient, and accessible to law enforcement officers at any expertise level. To achieve our mission we may enter into agreements with:

• third-party application developers that wish to integrate Warrant Builder into their existing tools and products.
• non-governmental organizations that support law enforcement activities.

Any partnerships or agreements with third-parties are designed to protect your privacy, both personal and warrant data. Integration with tools and systems is done at an API level that accepts data, but does not share it. An example of this is importing case information from a forensic analysis tool or exporting case information from a Records Management Systems via a "send to Warrant Builder" button.

The contents of search warrants are inherently sensitive and Maverick Data Systems safeguards that data through industry standard encryption. Warrant data is separated into three categories:
Sensitive Data
Sensitive Data is information that tells the story of the investigation. This encompasses the Probable Cause statement, suspect information, and target accounts. This category is not used by Maverick Data Systems personnel in any way. The contents of these categories is only used by Warrant Builder automated code to create the warrant document at the guidance and request of the user.
Non-Sensitive Data
Non-Sensitive Data is biographical and metric data about users and warrants. This encompasses case numbers, the category of search location (like Instagram or DUI Blood Draw), and statistical information of the use of the Warrant Builder platform. Such statistics, like total warrants written, writing times, and frequency may be provided to the user's Agency for statistical purposes or used by Maverick Data Systems within promotional materials and advertising.
CSAM Description Data
Maverick Data Systems is the creator and owner of the Warrant Builder Sentinel system; database of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) written descriptions. These descriptions are contributed to the database by sworn law enforcement officers authorized to investigate such matters and are made available to the Warrant Builder community through the use of the Warrant Builder NCMEC CyberTip Tool. These descriptions do not contain case or state specific information.

It is important to note that search warrants that are not bound by a sealing order are considered public record by the respective courts issuing them, generally within 10 days of their return. Maverick Data Systems does not, and will never, publish warrants or warrant data to the public. I is also important to note that the core Warrant Builder product does not have a mechanism to hold signed duly authorized search warrants. Any document produced is in draft form.
